The Shuswap Hospital Foundation is selling RAFFLE TICKETS for a Gift of Flight Voucher (one roundtrip flight for two to any regularly scheduled WestJet destination). The tickets are on sale at the office for 1 for $20 or 3 for $50!!
The tickets will be available at the kiosk in Piccadilly Mall starting July 18th from 11:00am to 3:00pm or anytime during the week at the Foundation office.
The draw will be held on August 26th during the dinner at the 3rd Annual Charity Golf Open held at Shuswap Lake Estates Golf and Country Club.

We very much appreciated your past support of the 2015 & 2016 Charity Opens where the monies raised went towards upgrades to the Shuswap Lake General Hospital. The funds raised at the 3rd Annual Shuswap Hospital Foundation Charity Open will go to help fund upgrading the X-Ray Room 3 – Trauma room from analogue to digital at the hospital.

Dr. Lee Penner sadly passed away in November. Dr. Penner and his wife Jos raised their family in Salmon Arm and Dr. Penner worked for many years at the Shuswap Lake General Hospital as well as in family practice. He was a well respected and much loved physician and general practitioner who made a difference to health care in our community. His career spanned many aspects of health care including surgery, anaesthetics, emergency and obstetrics, he delivered well over 1,000 babies!. The Shuswap Lake Health Care Auxiliary Annual Spring Garage Sales will be at the Piccadilly Mall from March 31 to April 1. Donations may be made at the mall from March 28 to 30 from 10am to 4pm or March 31 from 10am to 1pm.
Come by the mall on March 31 from 3pm to 8pm or April 1 from 10am to 3pm. There will also be a book sale, bake sale and silent auction!
Lois Fay McClellan (nee Farquharson) was borne on October 6, 1930. Lois, my mom and friend, left her current life on September 25, 2016 after a short battle with lung cancer.
Lois was the youngest daughter of Edna May and (William) Nelson Farquharson, of North Vancouver, BC and was married to Peter Graham McClellan (deceased 1996). She raised 2 children; her son and first born Douglas Graham McClellan (deceased 1975) and her daughter Brenda Mae McClellan (of Salmon Arm).

Norma was born in Bootle near Liverpool in England. She met and married Ralph on 19 March, 1955. They sailed from Liverpool to Canada and crossed by train straight to Salmon Arm in July 1966.
She quickly found a job as a special education assistant, working with children in Salmon Arm Elementary, Salmon Arm West and Carlin Schools. She was also very involved with Shuswap Theatre in all areas of production and was presented with a lifetime membership. She was a member of Shuswap Singers as narrator for many concerts.
