Robert ‘Bob’ Burechailo was born and raised in rural Saskatchewan. He attended the U.of S. in Saskatoon and received his B.Sc. in 1969 and M.D. Degree in 1974. Bob moved to Salmon Arm with his wife and family in 1975 and joined the Shuswap Medical group as a general practitioner. After 25 years, he shifted gears and spent the last 10 years of his medical career as a medical locum. This took him to various communities in B.C., Newfoundland and P.E.I. Bob has worked in Australia on five different occasions. His most unique work experience was as a Medical Officer with Norwegian Cruise Lines. He retired in 2009. Bob has 2 daughters, 2 step daughters and 9 grandchildren. He enjoys golfing, curling, boating and spending time in his RV. On occasion, he dabbles in art and spends many hours building model ships.
