Bill Douhaniuk is one of our thoughtful and giving Benefactors who recently made a generous share donation to the Shuswap Hospital Foundation. The Tim Hortons Smile Cookie Campaign put smiles on the faces of everyone!. Thank you to Kelly Moores and the wonderful staff at Tim Hortons Salmon Arm and Sicamous locations for their hard work and to the generous folks who purchased cookies and helped to raise a total of $6,000 for the Shuswap Hospital Foundation. Wedding bells are ringing! When Sze Yan Leslie and Thomas Arnold were married on September 13, 2014, at the Prestige Inn, Salmon Arm, BC, they found a wonderful way to celebrate the happy occasion. What a great idea!…..Cherries for Charity! These folks decided that they would get together and pick as many cherries as they could in order to make a charitable donation. The Shuswap Hospital Foundation received a very generous $1,500 donation from Chris and Marg Parfitt, Nick and Jane Parson, K.J. and Alex Seal, all of Salmon Arm, and Glenn and Joan Willing of Victoria.

Mr. Richard Shinde of Richmond recently took the time to remind us all that the hard work and dedication of the healthcare team are truly appreciated. The Salmon Arm Pickleball Club generously donated $200, the proceeds from a recent Pickleball tournament to the Shuswap Hospital Foundation to be designated toward the purchase of much needed equipment for the Shuswap Lake General Hospital. Several years ago the Sorrento Lions Club donated a bequest of $175,000 from Catherine Dilworth, a former nurse. Since that time, the Sorrento Lions have been raising funds for the Shuswap Hospital Foundation and to date their total donation now stands at $180,000!
