The best decision of Adele’s life was in moving from Calgary with her husband Cliff, their two children, her parents, and her dogs to the Shuswap in 1984. A long-time member of the Shuswap Lake Health-Care Auxiliary, Adele was the Auxiliary Representative on the Shuswap Hospital Foundation Board of Directors for several years. In 2013, Adele and the Auxiliary worked with the Foundation developing “Footsteps for Our Future”, an annual Mother’s Day Walk/Run raising funds to benefit women’s health in the community.
Update: September 10, 2014 AGM – President Joe Johnson thanked Adele and noted: “Adele Ainsworth has been the Hospital Auxiliary representative since I have been on the Board and has worked tirelessly to build an excellent working relationship between the Auxiliary and the Foundation.”
