The uncertainty and risk during this extreme wild fire season forced the cancellation of the 8th Annual Charity Open Golf Tournament which was to be held on August 19th. Whilst it was our hope that conditions would improve, this was not the case. The Shuswap Hospital Foundation and title sponsor, Shuswap Lake Golf Course at Blind Bay, felt the decision to cancel this event was the best course of action during these uncertain conditions.
We would like to express our extreme gratitude to our golf tournament sponsors, donors, registered golfers and volunteers for their amazing support. Our 9th Annual Charity Open Golf Tournament is planned for Saturday August 24th, 2024 and many of our sponsors, donors and golfers have pledged to join us in next year.
